Career Pathways

Career Pathways of WISD AEL gets students from where they are to where they want to go. Whether you find Career Pathways (CPW) initiatives and choose to enroll as a new student, or choose to continue your education after taking our English as a Second Language classes or High School Equivalent/GED courses. The core components of Career Pathways initiatives are job training programs and English for Internationally Trained Professionals with university degrees from outside the United States. We also provide services for employers and their qualifying staff, as well as justice-involved individuals whether they’re on community supervision, recently released, or currently incarcerated. Job training programs, or Integrated Education and Training (IETs), are educational courses that involve basic skills development, workforce preparation, and job training that leads to industry-recognized credentials.
